SPEAKER_00:

Hello everyone, it's Victoria here, and welcome back to a brand new season of A Business Built with Strategy and also Happy New Year, Happy 2026. It is the 5th of January today, and it is the first day of the first full week of the new year. I know I couldn't have timed that better, could I? I really couldn't have timed this better. Obviously, I took a slight sabbatical towards the end of last year, and you will know all about that if you listen to the last step. But we're gonna push forward with this year. I have got lots of things to look forward to for you on the pod, loads of interesting topics, and also we're gonna have some guests on as well, which I'm I'm really really excited about. There definitely is a moral though to how these because I started two podcasts last year, and as a lot of you know, last year was just absolutely horrific for me, but it also taught me a lot, and one of the things that I learned, which to be fair, I knew anyway, but this was I suppose proof in the pudding, you know, that saying, and that was that we hear a lot about especially online, or you know, I I everything's got to be perfect before I start, or well, I can't do that because that's not done, or or I no, I'll get myself out there when I feel more confident. I mean, I hear that a lot, or I can't do that because the thing is I'm gonna have my hair done and I don't look right online, or and the thing is nothing is ever going to be perfect. There rarely is the perfect time, and when I started my two podcasts, one of them was this one, but it was rebranded, and then there was another one which was a woman's power unfiltered. I started them in the middle of the most horrific year of my life. But I just thought, well, what have I got to lose? And I did it, and it was two of the best decisions that I made because I wouldn't be here talking to you now. So if you are looking to start a business, to pivot anything, there's never gonna be a perfect time, so you might as well just go for it, just just do what I did, just forget everything else and just go for it. So today I am going to be talking to you about visibility and growth and allowing yourself to expand. Now, many businesses, many entrepreneurs cap themselves, and when I say this, I mean there's a fear of being seen, they play safe once things feel okay, they might come out of their shell, but a lot of the time, a lot of people are just playing safe, you know, avoiding systems, growth, or also I think stepping into authority that's a real popular one, you know. There's amazing, amazing people out there, but a lot of people just don't feel that I don't know if it's that people don't feel that they're good enough or it's a confidence thing, but a lot of people play safe, and the thing is, fear of being seen doesn't usually look dramatic, it shows up quietly, it looks like playing safe, avoiding clear options, you know, not listening to opinions, staying agreeable, or posting without really saying anything, and it often shows up once things feel comfortable enough. And when people reach a level where things are they're okay, they sometimes stop growing, they stop building systems, they stop putting themselves forward, not because they can't, but because growth starts to feel risky again. The thing is, visibility isn't about being loud or performing, it's about it's about being clear, letting people know what you do, what you stand for, and how you can help them. The thing is, growth becomes sustainable when visibility is intentional and repeatable and not dependent on I don't know, bursts of energy or confidence. And the thing is, and and don't get me wrong, I have done it myself. I've known that I should go live, or I I've known that I should be putting out certain things online, and I haven't done it because I just haven't been in the mood, but that just doesn't work in business. You have to be consistent, you have to take that consistent action, you have to execute what you are trying to put out there. You know, you could have the most fantastic plan, the most fantastic strategy, but it's not gonna work if you're not executing, if you're not being seen, it's just gonna fall flat on its face. And the difference between knowing and doing is you know that actually you need to be able to put those emails out, you need to be able to grow your email list, you need to be able to talk about what you do. You know, there is so so much, but there's a massive difference between knowing this and actually doing it and showing up. It's definitely consistency over motivation, because we could be the most motivated person in the world, but if we're not being consistent with anything, then your visibility, your growth, you you know, you wanting to allow for that expansion just will not happen, it's just not gonna happen, and sometimes, well, a lot of the time, when you're taking action, it can be quite boring or it can be quite quiet, but having a strategy, visibility, growth, allowing expansion, the long game, really. It isn't just sitting there in a notebook or ideas that oh, I have to do this or I have to do that. It's execution. Execution is what turns ideas into reality, it's what banishes that fear of being seen, it banishes playing safe so that you can grow, so that you can actually be here in your business business, not pivoting every time it feels hard, not relying on motivation, staying with the plan through real life. The businesses that last aren't the most exciting, they're the most committed. The businesses, the entrepreneurs, it's all the same thing, they're the ones that are the most committed. So, excuse me, if your business isn't moving forward, it doesn't mean you're not capable, it usually means one of four things is missing, and most of the time it starts with strategy. I'm gonna be talking about the other four things over the coming weeks, but the first thing that you should have is a plan, is a strategy, because then consistent action, visibility, growth, allowing expansion, commitment, everything, everything will fall into place. I hope that you have taken even just one thing from this week's ep, and I'll be back next week to talk about the second thing that really does move your business forward.
